My goal had always been to retire at 40, but now that I’m here, I feel like the things I have been working towards are just getting rolling. I have been working diligently for my clients, students, partners, and for myself as well.

So, for now, I will continue working as much I need to, doing Yoga and living life with the purpose that has landed me right here where I am today; living what I consider to be my best and most purposeful life.

Life is not all rainbows and butterflies; it never will be that. But when we choose to accept our journey and find contentment where we are, we avoid getting caught in a cycle of working towards tomorrow without acknowledgement or gratitude for today.

That pattern of believing that happiness is based on staying young, earning more money, taking fancy vacations, and working ourselves to the bone to continue buying stuff we think we need, keeps us always searching for the next thing that we want.

If I learned one thing that has served me in these 40 years, it is this…

There is peace and beauty in being in the moment and accepting what is.

There is something wonderful in making do with what we have and finding gratitude where we are today.

There is a sense of relief when we step out of the constant state of want; especially when we are wanting situations to be different than what they are.

Being an observer and understanding my SELF is only real reason we are consciously alive, so we must experience every moment to the fullest of our ability.
